that exceeds twenty-one points goes “bust” and is an automatic
loser. The ultimate hand is a ten and an ace which scores an
automatic twenty-one. It must be noted that many novice players get
trapped and confused regarding the value of the ace, always thinking
it is worth eleven points.
The object of the game is to beat the dealer. The dealer goes right
